CHENNAI: Justice GK Ilanthiraiyan of Madras High Court on Friday directed the Salem city police to launch a probe on a complaint filed against former AIADMK Minister N Subramanian for allegedly taking money with a promise to offer a government job and cheating a man. The judge passed the order on disposing of a plea by K Munusamy a resident of Salem Jhonsonpet. According to the petitioner, when Subramanian served as the Adi - Dravidar Welfare Minister from 2011 to 2015, he got Rs 65 lakh from the petitioner and promised him of offering a job in the government.

Since Subramanian did not honour his words, Munusamy lodged a police complaint. Though the petitioner lodged a complaint with the DVAC in Salem district, the authorities did not turn up for his complaint.
