CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu Government on Saturday issued transfer orders to six police officers, including former Kallakurichi district SP (superintendent of police), S Selvakumar, who was transferred after riots in the district after the death of a student in a school’s hostel.
Selvakumar who was on compulsory wait at the State police chief’s office is now posted as SP. Coastal Security Group, Nagapattinam.
A G Babu, Inspector General of Police (on compulsory wait) is now posted as IGP, Technical Services, Chennai.
Z Annie Vijaya, DIG (on compulsory wait), is now posted as DIG (Deputy Inspector General), Training, Chennai. S Radhakrishnan, SP, Tamil Nadu Uniformed Services Recruitment Board (TNUSRB) is transferred and posted as Deputy Commissioner of police, Headquarters, Salem City
P Vijaya Kumar, SP, Economic Offences Wing, South Zone is transferred and posted as SP, TNUSRB
M Baskaran, SP, Civil Supplies CID, Madurai Zone is transferred and posted as Deputy Commissioner of Police, Headquarters, Tirupur City, according to an official notification.
