Foot-operated sanitiser dispensers installed at 10 spots in Thoothukudi town

Thoothukudi Corporation installed foot-operated sanitiser dispensers at 10 different locations on Saturday.

Designed to maintain hygiene, the dispenser prevents people from touching taps, Commissioner VP Jeyaseelan said. Talking about the advantages of the facility, he said that the foot-operated pedal dispenser by foot would release water through a tap and soap from another tap. Plans are under way for more such facilities in Thoothukudi, the Commissioner added.
