Farmers vow to fight against Salem-Chennai Expressway

Fresh statement by Edappadi Palanisami to go ahead with Salem-Chennai expressway is facing flak amongst farmers.

Chennai

Following Chief Minister Edappadi Palanisami's expression of his unflinching commitment to finish the Salem-Chennai Expressway, farmers are strongly opposing his views.

The CM purported the project is essential to curb traffic congestion and accidents. Farmers too with the same doggedness vowed not to flee their farm lands, no matter what.

Over 50 farmers from Pudhupatti of Dharmapuri were involved in the protests and later they disbanded.
