CHENNAI: Condemning the DVAC raids against former minister SP Velumani, AIADMK interim general secretary and former chief minister Edappadi K Palaniswami alleged the DMK government was foisting false cases against the party senior functionaries.
Claiming that the DMK government was focused on vendetta politics, the AIADMK leader said: "We are ready to face legally whatever cases were foisted".
"Instead of proceeding the existing cases against his ministers, this Chief Minister foisting cases against Opposition parties. Instead of continuing the welfare measures, that was initiated when we were in the power, the government is foisting cases," he added.
Palaniswami said as the DMK could not tolerate the AIADMK's victory path, it has initiated raids also against former health minister C Vijayabaskar, who was appreciated by the people for his effective work during the pandemic.
He also urged the police department to work in a fair manner instead of supporting the ruling party.
