Duraimurugan warns TN government of protest if water is taken from Jolarpet

The DMK treasurer Durairamurgan has warned the TN government of a protest if water is taken from Jolarpet to Chennai by rails.

Chief Minister Edappadi Palaniswami announced on Friday that Rs 65 crore has been earmarked to bring drinking water from Jolarpet to Chennai by rail. Responding to this, the DMK treasurer Duraimurugan has warned the government that if water is taken from Jolarpet, a massive protest will take place.

He said, “If the government is unable to run a proper administration, the government will have to leave, otherwise the people evict them. The government has admitted that it is unable to supply water.”

He also stated that DMK will discuss about water problem in Tamil Nadu in the upcoming legislative meetings.
