DMK manifesto panel to begin tour on January 19

CHENNAI: The manifesto preparation committee of the ruling DMK is all set to commence its tour from Vellore to collect opinions and suggestions from various sections, including the education sector, from January 19 (Monday).

According to party sources, the committee will start its consultations from Vellore and subsequently visit Hosur, Thanjavur, Tiruchy, Tirunelveli, Ramanathapuram, Cuddalore, Salem, Coimbatore, and Madurai on various dates. The tour will continue until February 10.

Meanwhile, a meeting of DMK district secretaries will be held on Tuesday. In a statement, the party headquarters said the meeting would be chaired by CM MK Stalin.

The meeting will focus on preparations for the upcoming Assembly election, the statement said.
