Chief Justice unfurls national flag at Madras High Court

After accepting the guard of honour accorded by personnel of the Central Industrial Security Force, Justice Shrivastava distributed certificates to 51 HC employees who had completed 25 years of service.

CHENNAI: Madras High Court Chief Justice Manindra Mohan Shrivastava on Monday unfurled the national flag on the occasion of the 77th Republic Day celebrations held on the court premises.

After accepting the guard of honour accorded by personnel of the Central Industrial Security Force, Justice Shrivastava distributed certificates to 51 HC employees who had completed 25 years of service.

He also presented commendation certificates to five CISF personnel and merit certificates to 10 personnel of the TN police. Students of the Little Flower School for the Visually Impaired, Chennai, addressed the gathering and spoke on the significance of Republic Day.

The function, held on the court campus, was attended by High Court judges, Chief Secretary, Director General of Police, Commissioner of Police and other senior officials. Retired judges of the Supreme Court and High Court, along with advocates, also participated in the celebrations.
