Call for expert panel to study stability of dams

TIRUCHY: Tamil Nadu Vivasayigal Sangam, affiliated to the CPI, on Friday urged the state to constitute an expert committee to study the stability of the dams across Tamil Nadu to avoid unnecessary panic among the people.

Speaking to reporters after the executive meeting of the association, state general secretary of the Sangam, Sami Natarajan said, “The government should establish an expert committee to study the stability of the dams across the state and submit a report which should be made public.”
