As the State is slowly crawling towards pre-covid times, the TN government has further relaxed the norms, permitting the buses to run with 100% seat occupancy.

Further, it has also directed the State Transport corporation to increase the service as per requirements.

Earlier, the seat occupancy was restricted to 60 per cent, as per the then Covid-19 Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).

Apparently, the transport authorities have been asked to ensure that the minimum SOPs like proper sanitisation, wearing of masks while travel is being followed.
