CHENNAI: The Tamil Nadu government on Wednesday appointed IPS officer Asra Garg as Inspector General of Police, Intelligence, Chennai, with immediate effect.

Garg, who was serving as IGP, North Zone, Chennai, replaces Avinash Kumar in the post, as per a GO.
