In an article, written under the pen name ‘Kutheetti’ on Tuesday, it was mentioned that the mafia group, which was hiding under the soil just like a snake, tried to capture the party (AIADMK) after the demise of late Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa.
Quoting the recent comments of former MLA Thanga Tamilselvan that the AIADMK should merge with the AMMK, the article termed the AMMK a party that has not opened its account and heading towards a demise.
“Whether the AMMK should be buried or be cremated,” wondered the article.
The writer has slammed AMMK leaders V K Sasikala and TTV Dhinakaran indirectly by referring them to as leeches, who had consumed the blood of 1.5 crore AIADMK workers.
He also criticised the AMMK leaders for attempting to take over the party at the time Jayalalithaa’s death.
“Even after they were ousted, the AMMK leaders tried to capture the AIADMK with the help of money, but their dreams got shattered.” The writer also criticised Thanga Tamilselvan for his dream to capture the AMMK as Dhinakaran is facing a FERA case, while Sasikala is already in prison.
Meanwhile, another cartoon appeared in the paper on Tuesday criticising former transport minister Senthil Balaji, now with AMMK, for joining the DMK.
The cartoon says that the AMMK and the DMK are in a relationship and now Senthil Balaji, by joining DMK, had made the relationship public.
The column and the cartoon has appeared at a time when state ministers and AIADMK leaders have hinted at a merger of AIADMK and AMMK.
Minister for Tamil Development and Tamil Culture Ma Foi K Pandiarajan said the doors are still open for people who have left the AIADMK and even if Sasikala and Dhinakaran are willing to join the party, talks can be held in the presence of senior party functionaries for an amicable solution.
On the other hand, former MLA P Vetrivel, now with the AMMK, categorically denied any merger with the AIADMK and said that they will fight the bypolls alone. He also dismissed the news of Senthil Balaji joining the DMK as a rumour and said that he has gone on a personal work.
“He has informed about his work to Dhinakaran before leaving and there is no reason for him to join the DMK,” said Vetrivel.
