The AIADMK leaders condemned the police for raiding the office of party organ Namadhu Amma without due notice for journalists and the staff working with the newspaper. In a statement, OPS and EPS condemned the DMK government and said this is a clear case of police excess and the AIADMK condemns the government.

Will meet press in day or two: Velumani

Earlier, Velumani along with his son Vivek boarded a Thoothukudi bound flight from Chennai that landed at the airport on Wednesday at around 7.30 am. However, the AIADMK cadres and the Intelligence unit were left clueless about Velumani’s programme there. Sources said both Velumani and his son offered prayers in temples in Thoothukudi, Tirunelveli and Tenkasi.

On his return to Thoothukudi airport Velumani was swarmed by journalists, to whom he said he would get concurrence from OPS and EPS and meet the press in a day or two.
