6 killed in van-bus collision in TN

At around 12.30 am, the family members had gone to have tea at a shop along by- pass road near Attur, when the incident happened.

COIMBATORE: Six persons, including a 11-year-old girl, died after their car crashed into a bus near Salem on Tuesday early morning.

Police identified the deceased as Saranya (23), Suganya (27),Santhiya (23), Ramya (25), Rajesh (21) and Danshika (11). They all belong to same family and had visited a relative’s house for a condolence.

At around 12.30 am, the family members had gone to have tea at a shop along by- pass road near Attur, when the incident happened. Five other injured persons are undergoing treatment in Salem GH.

The private bus was bound to Chennai. Further enquiry is under way.
