28-year-old electrocuted while working in factory in Kancheepuram

On Monday night Suresh died in the hospital without responding to treatments.

CHENNAI: A 28-year-old man who suffered an electric shock while working in a factory in Kancheepuram died on Monday midnight.

The deceased was Suresh Das of Thidir Nagar in Kancheepuram and was working in a private factory that prepares papadam for the past 10 years.

On September 2 while working in a factory Suresh suffered an electric shock and was admitted to the private hospital in the locality and then he was shifted to the Rajiv Gandhi government General hospital.

On Monday night Suresh died in the hospital without responding to treatments.

The Siva Kanchi police have registered a case and further inquiry is on. Suresh was married and had an 11-month-old baby.

The family and relatives of Suresh filed a petition with the Kancheepuram SP that action should be taken against the factory and compensation must be given to the family.
