24-hour, toll-free poll helpline set up in Tiruvannamalai

Tiruvannamalai Collector KS Kandasamy has announced a 24-hour, toll-free helpline for local body polls slated for December 27 and 30, officials said.

Voters can use the toll-free helpline 1800 4253 678 or use the phone number 04175-233141 to register their grievances or provide information regarding all poll-related issues, the officials added. Election officials in the respective panchayat unions could also be contacted for similar purposes, they averred. Both numbers are functional from Friday, they added.


Similarly, the Collector called on able ex-servicemen to volunteer to be nominated as special policemen for election duty on the above-mentioned two days. Those desirous of volunteering should approach the Ex-Servicemen’s Department in the first floor of the Tiruvannamalai Collector’s office on Friday, December 20, with their discharge certificates and all required documents, they said.
