10 new cases in Chennai but TPR at 0.1 pc in Tamil Nadu

As many as 28 cases of COVID-19 were reported in the State on Monday.

This brings the total number of cases in Tamil Nadu to 34,53,112. About 10 cases were reported in Chennai, while Chengalpattu and Madurai had four and three cases respectively. Coimbatore, Kancheepuram, Ranipet and Tirupur reported two cases each, while Tiruvallur, Krishnagiri and Tiruchy had one case each on Monday. With 17,186 samples being tested for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, the test positivity rate in TN stood at 0.1 per cent, while the highest TPR of 0.8 per cent was reported in Chennai. About 27 people were discharged from several hospitals across the State, taking the total number of recoveries post COVID-19 to 34,14,858. While the death toll stands at 38,025, there has been no new fatality.
