SP’s team wins over Vellore press team in 15 over cricket match

Press team member Pon Singh was declared man of the match for scoring 96 runs and taking a wicket. He was presented with a watch by SP S Rajesh Kannan.

Vellore: Vellore police eleven won the match against the Vellore press eleven scorings 117 runs for 6 wickets in 15 overs in a friendly contest held at the Nethaji Stadium on Sunday.

The press team scored 96 runs losing 7 wickets in 15 overs. Press team member Pon Singh was declared man of the match for scoring 96 runs and taking a wicket. He was presented with a watch by SP S Rajesh Kannan.

While Rajesh Kannan captained the police, the press team was captained by APRO Bharat. Collector Kumaravel Pandian who was present and inaugurated the match batted for a short while before leaving.
