PSA tournament in Chennai from Sept 19

CHENNAI: The Squash Rackets Federation of India, in partnership with HCL, will organise a PSA tournament at the Indian Squash Academy here from September 19 to 23 (Monday to Friday).

Players from 10 countries besides host nation India will compete in the tournament for top honours.

While World No.63 Aly Abou Eleinen from Egypt and World No.83 Martin Svec of Czech Republic will be the top-seeded players in the men’s category, World No.60 Kenzy Ayman from Egypt will headline the women’s section.

Among Indians in the women’s draw, Tanvi Khanna, ranked 92, and local hope Sunayna Kuruvilla, ranked 109, will be the ones to watch out for.

In the men’s category, many eyes will be on World No.109 Abhay Singh.

The PSA tournament will overlap with the ‘Southern Slam’, a junior event for players who are in the categories of Under-11 to Under-19.
