Guerrero, who captained Peru in their qualification campaign for the Russia World Cup, joined the Porto Alegre side after three years with Flamengo.
The 34-year old, whose former clubs also include Bayern Munich, Hamburg and Corinthians, missed much of this year after being tested positive for a cocaine byproduct.
His ban was lifted shortly before the World Cup and Guerrero played in all three of Peru’s matches.
