Amisha stars in Uttarakhand victory

B Amisha (5/11) bagged a five-wicket haul as Uttarakhand thrashed Chhattisgarh by nine wickets in the BCCI Women Under-23 Elite ‘C’ One-Day duel at the VB Nest Ground here on Wednesday.

Bowling first, Uttarakhand skittled Chhattisgarh out for a paltry 66 in 37.4 overs, courtesy of left-arm spinner Amisha’s match-winning spell. Chasing a tiny total, the victor completed the formalities in 29.2 overs, losing only one wicket in the process. In another match, Assam notched up its first win with a two-wicket success over Saurashtra.


Brief scores: Saurashtra 88 all-out in 48.5 overs lost to Assam 89 for 8 in 48.4 overs (Ruhina Pegu 27, Anamika Bori 25*). Points: Assam 4(4); Saurashtra 0(8).


Chhattisgarh 66 all-out in 37.4 overs (B Amisha 5/11, Radha Chand 3/11) lost to Uttarakhand 68 for 1 in 29.2 overs (Jyoti Giri 32*). Points: Uttarakhand 4(24); Chhattisgarh 0(24);  


Rajasthan 227 for 5 in 20 overs (Ayushi Garg 97, Sumitra Jat 25, Jyoti Choudhary 31, Sangeeta Kumawat 27*) beat Haryana 202 for 6 in 50 overs (Bhawna Ohlan 74, Sheetal Rana 25, Shivangi Chauhan 45, Ayushi Garg 3/38). Points: Rajasthan 4(32); Haryana 0(20).
