CHENNAI: Chief Minister MK Stalin campaigned in Tiruchy on Wednesday morning (April 1), seeking support for party candidate Inigo S Irudhayaraj, ahead of the upcoming Assembly Elections.

He visited Gandhi Market, appealing to voters to back the Tiruchy East incumbent MLA.


Irudhayaraj is contesting in the Tiruchy East seat against TVK chief Vijay.

The Chief Minister also toured Bhima Nagar, seeking votes for KN Nehru, the party's Tiruchy West candidate. The minister is entering the fray in the constituency for the sixth consecutive election since 2006.

Meanwhile, in a video, Stalin is seen having tea at a local shop along with DMK candidates, including KN Nehru. 

The elections to 234 Assembly constituencies in Tamil Nadu will be held in one phase on 23 April.
