NEET exam to be held on August 1 this year

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) for medical courses is scheduled to be held on August 1.

The National Testing Agency making an announcement of exam dates on Friday said the registration will begin in the ntaneet.nic.in soon.

Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal earlier had said there is no question of cancelling NEET exams. The annual pen-paper entrance exam is for medical aspirants for taking up MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, BUMS, BSMS courses.

The students are required to have passed their class 12 with either Biotechnology with English or Biology, Physics and Chemistry.

The exam can be taken in 11 languages --- English, Tamil, Hindi, Urdu, Assamese, Bengali, Odia, Marathi, Kannada, Telugu and Gujarati.
