Youth working in film industry held for possession of ganja, tablets in Ashok Nagar

Police seized 29 sachets of 100-gram ganja and 30 strips of Nitravet tablets from him.

CHENNAI: City Police have apprehended a youth for alleged possession of ganja and painkiller tablets in Ashok Nagar on Sunday.

The arrested youth was identified as S Darshan.

Police seized 29 sachets of 100-gram ganja and 30 strips of Nitravet tablets from him.

Darshan was secured by a police team near 92nd Street, Ashok Nagar based on a tip-off.

A probe revealed that Darshan sold the narcotics to auto drivers and youth in the neighbourhood.

During questioning, Darshan told the police that he was selling the drug tablets and Ganja to select customers based on reference.

The youth was produced before a magistrate and remanded to judicial custody.

Police said that Darshan has four cases against him.
