Traffic diversion near Kathipara flyover for the next four days

The traffic diversions will be in the outgoing direction towards St Thomas mount, during night hours from 11 pm to 5 am, an official release said.

CHENNAI: Chennai city traffic police have announced traffic diversions on GST road near Kathipara flyover for the next four days (Sep 1, 2, 3 and 4) to facilitate flood restoration works by highways department and underground cable laying work by the electricity department.

The traffic diversions will be in the outgoing direction towards St Thomas mount, during night hours from 11 pm to 5 am, an official release said.

Accordingly, all commercial and heavy vehicles plying on Anna salai towards St. Thomas Mount will be diverted at Guindy bridge towards MRC Road.

The diverted vehicles towards MRC Road will not be allowed to take Maduvankarai bridge and will be diverted in service road to City link road- Adambakkam Bus Depot – St. Thomas Mount Railway station – Medavakkam Main Road – take right to MRTS Road – Thillaiganganagar Subway – cement road junction to reach GST Road.

However all the emergency vehicles, ambulance and vehicles moving to Airport will run on their regular route, the release said.
