Former Thoothukudi SP Arun Balagopalan, who was placed on vacancy reserve after Sathankulam custodial deaths on June 30, has been given posting on Wednesday by the Home department in a fresh round of shuffle of police officers.

He has been posted as SP-II Cyber Crime, Chennai in the place of Omprakash Meena, who has been asked to take charge as Assistant Inspector General, Administration.

MR Sibi Chakravarthi, AIG, Administration has been transferred and posted as SP, Cyber Crime, CBCID, replacing A Jayalakshmi, who has been transferred and posted as SP, TN Police Academy.

KPS Jeyachandran, SP, TN Police Academy has been asked to take charge as SP, Commando force, in place of C Shyamala Devi, who will assume charge as SP, Land grabbing cell.

P Kannamal, SP, land grabbing cell will be new DC, CCB, Chennai in place of Deepa Sathyan, who has been posted as the new DC, Ambattur. NS Nisha, DC, Ambattur, has been transferred and posted as SP-I, Cyber Crime.
