CHENNAI: To impart entrepreneurial skills among students, the School Education Department on Tuesday conducted training programmes, along with Unicef and Entrepreneurship Development and Innovation Institute, for grade teachers from higher secondary schools. Each school principal chose guide teachers for the programme who will inculcate entrepreneurial skills among students. “The motive was to make as many students become entrepreneurs. The camp will facilitate all the needed skills for this,” said a district coordinator. The training under the School Innovation Development Project (SIDP) was also given to teachers (in-charge) of the National Green Corps. To better equip students and teachers, Unicef has provided a website that will also contain learning activities.
