CHENNAI: Eight flights were cancelled at the city airport on Friday due to administrative reasons. The Indigo airlines flight, which was supposed to depart to Trichy at 11.15 am, Thoothukudi at 12 pm and Madurai at 2.25 pm, were cancelled on Friday.
The SpiceJet flight to Shivamogga, which was scheduled to depart at 2.10 pm, was also cancelled. The same flights, which were supposed to arrive in Chennai from those cities, were also cancelled on Friday. Airport sources said the flights got cancelled due to administrative reasons.
The airlines had informed the passengers about cancellations, and their tickets were changed to other flights which departed for the respective cities.
