The event which was organised by Kidobotikz and ezoneINDIA and took place between 6 am and 8 am, comprised a first section that involved assembling knocked down kits and building robots from scratch. The students completed this task in a record time of 32 minutes and 16 seconds.
The second section was a rally by the just-put-together robots on the beach, the final one crossing the line at 7.50 am. The jury for this section was Assist World Records Research Foundation, based out of Puducherry. Certificates were distributed to the students at the end of the event. Kidobotikz imparts knowledge of robotics to children aged between 12 and 17.
Having recently been funded by the Indian Angel Network and The Chennai Angels this year, it has an online platform that will enable school children across the country to access their online robotics education course-ware. Kits will be shipped — upon registration — with detailed animations and tests online, enabling the child to learn the fundamentals of all the concepts and do the practicals too. There is live support and offline support available at the knowledge centres
