CHENNAI: Murali Krishna (65), son of veteran playback singer S Janaki, died of a heart attack in the early hours of January 22, 2026 (Thursday), said a Daily Thanthi report.

He was the sole son of Janaki and Ramprasad, and was living in Hyderabad with his mother.

Murali was married to Chennai-based dancer Uma. The couple later separated.

He had appeared in a few Telugu films and was associated with performing arts, including Bharatanatyam.
