It was said that he borrowed the sum from one Subashini of Vadaperumbakkam and failed to return the same even after a lapse of several months. When asked, he allegedly made fun of her saying there was no use complaining to the police as they would never entertain a plea lodged against him. However, Subashini, who was determined to get justice, approached the Joint Commissioner and explained her plight. Following this, an internal inquiry was initiated, which confirmed that Chandrasekaran received the money from Subashini. Later, he was given involuntary retirement as per rules. This means that he will lose three years of service pending he will be eligible for retirement benefits.
