Sharp rise in feeder service users: CMRL

The feeder service by Chennai Metro to provide last mile connectivity has been witnessing a steady increase in the number of commuters opting for share auto and car services.

 In November, 64,774 passengers made use of the feeder service while the number stood at 53,586 in October. A release by CMRL stated 39,294 passengers used the share auto and share taxi facilities at the metro rail stations in November and 25,520 passengers used the Metro cab feeder services. “So far, 6.53 lakh passengers have utilised the feeder service facilities between August 2018 and November this year,” it said and attributed the rise to the number of passengers using the app to avail the service.
