A hunt has been launched for the absconding accused. Two bike riders, one of them a PhD scholar and the other an engineering student, were robbed at knifepoint near Padi bridge on Thursday night when the victims were returning home. Meanwhile, Ice House police have arrested a three-member gang for housebreaking and seized four sovereigns from them. The accused, Nadim Basha, Usain and Sabiyulla, entered the house of one Mohammed Salim in Royapettah on Friday and escaped with the jewels when the victim was out for work. Based on his complaint, Ice House police picked up the suspects and remanded them.
