Nandu Kishore Roy (44), Subdev Roy (23) and Anil (26) have been working at a steel factory. After a quarrel erupted between them over sharing liquor, Nandu and Subdev reportedly attacked Anil and escaped.

It was the passers-by who found Anil’s body at a playground near a Tasmac shop. They alerted the Kavarapettai police, who rushed to the spot and sent the body for post-mortem examination.

Inquiries revealed that Anil was last seen at the same spot celebrating Holi with a few other men the previous night. Interrogation of the suspects revealed that an argument erupted between them because Anil did not share liquor equally, following which the duo fatally attacked Anil.
