Retd DGP D Mukherjee dies at 75

Mukherjee, who had served as DGP law and order in 2006-2007 passed away around 9pm at his house in Manapakkam on Saturday.

CHENNAI: Retired DGP D Mukherjee, 75, passed away in Chennai on Saturday night.

Mukherjee, who had served as DGP law and order in 2006-2007 passed away around 9pm at his house in Manapakkam on Saturday.

Hailing from Bihar, Mukherjee was a 1971 Tamil Nadu cadre officer. He had also served as additional director, CBI before becoming TN DGP in May 2006.
