Restaurateur, tattoo artist arrested for peddling Ganja in Chennai

The arrested persons were identified as Vijay Roshan Daga and Thomas Alexander (27), who works at a Tattoo studio in Nungambakkam. Both the accused are residents of Anna Nagar.

CHENNAI: A 28-year-old was arrested on Saturday by the police along with an accomplice, a tattoo artist for peddling ganja.

The arrested persons were identified as Vijay Roshan Daga and Thomas Alexander (27), who works at a Tattoo studio in Nungambakkam. Both the accused are residents of Anna Nagar.

Nungambakkam police had received a tip off about the accused peddling ganja in the neighbourhood in broad daylight and a police team had apprehended them near Jaganathan road off Nungambakkam High Road.

Police said that they found 1.1 kg of ganja in their possession. After seizing the narcotic substance from them, police arrested the duo. They were produced before a magistrate and remanded in judicial custody.
