PanIIT Tech4Bharat Summit to chart tech-led roadmap for Viksit Bharat

Marking 75 years of the IITs, the day-long summit is being organised by PanIIT Alumni India, an umbrella body representing alumni of all 23 IITs, in association with IIT Madras.

CHENNAI: Governor RN Ravi will, on Sunday, inaugurate the PanIIT Tech4Bharat Summit 2026, a high-level conclave of IIT alumni aimed at shaping a technology-driven growth roadmap for achieving the vision of Viksit Bharat by 2047.

Marking 75 years of the IITs, the day-long summit is being organised by PanIIT Alumni India, an umbrella body representing alumni of all 23 IITs, in association with IIT Madras.

More than 500 policymakers, industry leaders, entrepreneurs, and IIT leaders from India and abroad are expected to participate. “The summit reflects the evolving role of IITs as catalysts for national development,” said Prabhat Kumar, chairman, PanIIT Alumni India. “Tech4Bharat is a collective commitment of the IIT alumni community to collaborate across policy, industry and academia for inclusive and sustainable growth.”

PanIIT general secretary Ashok Kumar said that the programme would feature a special address by Rajya Sabha MP Ilaiyaraaja, besides panel discussions on deep technology, fintech, public sector enterprises and nation-building.

The event will conclude with a closing plenary by S Gurumurthy, chairman, Vivekananda International Foundation.
