The victim, V Partharasarathy (70) of Mandaveli, a retired revenue inspector, boarded an MTC bus (route No 11A) in T Nagar and alighted at Spencer Plaza on Friday evening. When he checked his bag after getting down, he was shocked to see that the bag was torn open.
The jewels he had kept inside were stolen. Following this, he immediately rushed to Thousands Lights police station to lodge a complaint about the incident. Based on his complaint, the Thousand Lights police have registered a case and further investigation is on.
