Some private schools were threatening to terminate students for non-payment of the previous year’s fees. Though under Section 16 of the Act it was not possible to terminate students, the schools did not seem to be bothered about the provision, Ramadoss said. He demanded a white paper on the total number of admissions done under the Act during the last six years.
