Speaking to the media at the Madurai Airport, Anbumani claimed that state government should convene an all-party meeting to discuss the ways and means to conduct Jallikattu next year and stressed that it is the duty of the state government to facilitate the same. The central government should also make necessary amendments to facilitate Jallikattu in the state, demanded Anbumani.

When asked about the Cauvery issue, he replied that if the dam is constructed across Cauvery, the delta farmers would not receive water. The State should head an all-party delegation to meet the Prime Minister and take steps to stop construction of dams across Palar and Cauvery rivers, he added. When asked about the strategy of PMK in the local body elections, he claimed that PMK is set to face the election alone and that there is no chance for an alliance.
