Governor urged to cancel TNPSC appointments

Condemning the state government for appointing to TNPSC (Tamil Nadu public service commission) the same five members, whose earlier appointment was struck down by the High Court, DMK working president MK Stalin has urged Governor Ch Vidyasagara Rao to immediately rescind the appointment orders.

He called the order issued by Edappadi K Palanisamy’s government a violation of High Court and Supreme Court orders. Accusing the government of trying to convert TNPSC into headquarters of AIADMK (Amma) faction, Stalin also wondered how the Governor had approved the appointment of the same people as TNPSC members despite the Court order.

Recalling at length the observations made by the High Court in the case, the DMK working president urged the Governor to direct Chief Minister Palanisamy to appoint members to TNPSC in accordance with the HC order dated December 22, 2016.
