CHENNAI: Police rescued three women from a lodge in Tiruvanmiyur and nabbed two male brokers who were doing flesh trade business using a website.
Police said the rescued women hail from West Bengal, Assam, and Bengaluru.
Based on a specific tip, police sent a decoy and after seeing ads posted on the Locanto website and confirming the flesh trade, stormed into one of the lodge rooms and nabbed the duo identified as Imdad Batcha, 23, of Zam Bazaar, and Sunil Kumar, 28, of Palakkad in Kerala.
Police said the two were coming to the notice of the anti-vice squad for the first time.
The rescued girls were sent to the government home for girls and women in Mylapore. The duo was remanded in judicial custody.
