The deceased, Aravind Rajan of Dileepan Nagar, a graduate working as house painter, got married to Pavithra of Pattabiram in 2016, after being in relationship with her. However, the couple separated due to differences in 2017. Pavithra, who lived with her parents in Pattabiram, was found dead in the house on July 15.

Aravind Rajan, who was upset over her death, was found dead in his house on Tuesday morning. On information, the Tirunindravur police retrieved his body and sent it for post-mortem examination. Before taking the extreme step, Aravind Rajan had written an emotional post on Facebook claiming that he was not even allowed to see Pavithra’s body and had blamed Pavithra’s mother and uncle as the reason for his death. A case has been registered and an investigation is on.
