Drumstick price jumps to Rs 320 per kg on January 11, 2026 at Chennai's Koyambedu market

CHENNAI: Vegetable prices continued to fluctuate sharply at Chennai’s Koyambedu wholesale market on Friday (January 2).

According to the traders, compared to yesterday (Jan 10), the price of drumsticks has surged sharply.

While one kg of drumsticks was sold at Rs 300 yesterday, today the price has increased by Rs 20 to Rs 320 per kg.

One kg of beans, which was sold at Rs 25, has increased by Rs 10 and is now selling at Rs 35 per kg.

Brinjal prices have also risen by Rs 10 and are being sold at Rs 25 per kg today.

In contrast, coloured bell pepper have come down, one kg of coloured bell pepper, which was sold at Rs 100, has dropped by Rs 10 and is now selling at Rs 90 per kg.
