Chennai voter list revision: special facilities open until January 18

From December 23 to January 18, Booth Level Officers (BLOs) will be available at 979 designated polling stations in all 16 assembly constituencies.

CHENNAI: The Election Commission of India (ECI) has established special facilities across Chennai to allow citizens to update their voter registration details. From December 23 to January 18, Booth Level Officers (BLOs) will be available at 979 designated polling stations in all 16 assembly constituencies.

Service Details:

  • Period: December 23, 2025, to January 18, 2026 (open on all days excluding holidays).

  • Timings: 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

  • Purpose: To receive applications for adding new names, deleting, or correcting existing entries in the electoral roll.

Resources for Voters:

  • The recently published draft voter list is available for public review at all ward offices and the designated polling stations.

  • The list can also be checked online via the official Election Commission Voters Service Portal.

How to Apply:

  • Eligible citizens who do not find their names on the draft list can obtain the requisite forms from the BLO at these locations,fill them out, and submit them on the spot.

  • For further assistance, the Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC) has advised citizens to contact its control center by dialing 1913.
