Due to OHE malfunction, Chennai Metro now operated every 20 mins

The Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) in the statement said that the team is working actively in restoring the services at the earliest.

CHENNAI: Owing to malfunction in the Over Head Equipments (OHE), between Koyambedu Metro station and St Thomas Mount Metro station (green line), Metro train services are currently being operated only at every 20 minutes in a single line.

The Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) in the statement said that the team is working actively in restoring the services at the earliest.

Additionally, inter-corridor movement between Central Metro station and Airport Metro station is temporarily suspended due to malfunction.

However, till then, passengers travelling to the airport in the green line have been requested to deboard at Alandur Metro station to interchange for travelling to the airport, requested CMRL.
