Chennai Metro Rail to operate on Saturday schedule on August 27

As per the Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL), Metro train service will be operated from 5 am to 11 pm.

CHENNAI: On account of Vinayagar Chaturthi on Wednesday, the Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) has announced Saturday train schedule to be followed on August 27.

As per the official announcement, the Metro train service will operate from 5 am to 11 pm with the following frequency: from 8 am to 11 am and 5 pm to 8 pm headway (peak hours), Metro trains will be available every six minutes.

And, during the non-peak hours, from 5 am to 8 am, 11 am to 5 pm and 8 pm to 10 pm, Metro trains will be available every seven minutes.

In the extended non-peak hours that are from 10 pm to 11 pm headway, Metro trains will be available every 15 minutes.
