CHENNAI: Chennai Police on Sunday received bomb threats via email about explosives in Chennai Airport and two other places- YMCA building on NSC Bose road and YMCA, Nandanam, which turned out to be a hoax.

After the mail was received, the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) were alerted and they swept the premises and declared the threat as hoax.

Police are taking efforts to trace the person who sent the mail. Two days ago, Tamil Nadu Governor's residence Raj Bhavan received a bomb threat on Thursday which turned out to be a hoax.

Police traced the call and were led to Kallakurichi, where they found that the call was made by a person with mental disabilities.

Police sources said that he is a regular offender and he was let off with a warning.
