Chef Vikas Khanna’s kind gesture to the man who taught him to make dibba roti

On Monday, celebrity chef Vikas Khanna took to Twitter seeking help from people to track a person called Satyam from whom the chef learned how to make dibba roti — a popular snack of Andhra Pradesh.

He wrote: “Thank you Street Byte for introducing me to MasterChef Satyam. I learnt technique of Dibba Roti by watching him years ago. Plz help me reach out to him asap. This is the true heritage of our country and we have to protect these treasures. 

#GuruDakshina.” (sic) In no time, Vikas’ followers managed to track 72-year-old Satyam and sent all the details. On May 12, the chef shared the update on his Twitter page and also shared ration for his guru.
