A six-year-old girl died of snakebite in Madhavaram on Wednesday.

CHENNAI: A six-year-old girl died of snakebite in Madhavaram on Wednesday. The deceased Darlia was one of the twin daughters of the couple Sudhakar and Aswini, residents of Kannabiran Street in Madhavaram. The incident happened when Darlia was playing alone in the backyard of their house on Wednesday night. The girl reportedly informed her mother that she was bitten by something and fainted. She was rushed to a private hospital, where it was confirmed that she suffered a snakebite, and her parents were advised to take her to the Government Stanley Hospital. However, Darlia turned pale and died without responding to treatment at the hospital. Madhavaram police have registered a case.
